Hi, I'm Shutian I am a product and UX designer who comes from data science and computer science background. Three years ago, my psychologist professor organized all the candies she brought to the classroom while we were doing our final exam. After I finished my exam, I handed my test papers to her, meanwhile I noticed how amazing her candy organizing skills were. However, I found out she had made a mistake. She accidentally mixed a lemon flavor Sugus in a row of peach flavors. I asked politely if she did this on purpose. She stared at me, "whaaa how did you notice that?" Good at being observant is one of my Superpowers as a UX Designer. I almost ended up drop my college and working for a local grocery store to organize the aisles. It's true, when I was 18, a grocery store cashier wanted me to work for them after she saw my super organized shopping cart. She said: "You should stay here to help us organize our aisles! This is ridiculous organized!" Of course, I did not stay there for this potential opportunity. Worked in an early learning center for 2 years, trained by a group of children aged from 0 to 6, I became a great communicator from the guy in the corner of a party. I gotta say it's much easier talking with a grown adult than with a 5-year-old child. Communication is the key to connecting with the user group, to learning what their needs are. Kudos to the kiddos! Graduated from University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Information Science. I volunteered for Develop for Good as a UX Designer and Frontend Develop. Most recently, I am designing an online platform for a local Realty Company in Tulsa. The goal is to help them expand the market and attracts more customers to buy properties in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area.
